Week 1 Prologue - Imperial vs Necrons - Nemesor Demekor the Insufferable

Awaken. Awaken.

That was the signal, the subliminal command that drove Demekor to this world. A Nemesor in his own right, Demekor felt the indignity of have to follow the demands of this Tomb World.  A leader like himself should not feel so… compelled… to listen, but his forces were in dire straits.  This world was his last hope to replenish is depleted forces.

Chased by the accursed Eldar clowns, or Harlequins in their common tongue, his ship was damaged in a battle between him and an imperial cruiser in a surprise attack.  No doubt did the Harlequins have the humans in their machinations, leading them around like puppets in their war against the Necrons.  Still, the black imperial ship did possess technologies that he, in his past experiences with the fledgling races, didn’t think they possessed.  Their cloaking fields were rudimentary, but effective nonetheless, and he could not avoid the broadside that burn through his ship.

Limping to this planet, he witnessed a larger ship crashing due a space battle between 2 imperial forces… or perhaps not.  The ship was breaking apart in re-entry into the planet’s atmosphere, with parts scattering all over.  Nemesor Demekor saw the opportunity to hide his crippled ship in the confusion and made his own entry into this tomb world.

Upon landing, the compelling signal grew ever stronger.  Any lesser Necron lord would sure succumb, but Nemesor Demekor was the Insufferable.  Exiled from his own clan millennia ago, he has carved his own name into the universe, building his strength to wipe the new-born races in a galaxy that belonged to him.  Putting the nagging aside, he surveyed the world and found it populated by humans, and odd factions of half metal humans and even large biped machines.  He would have to thread carefully.

Out here in the wastes, patrols were frequent, so being detected was not unheard of.  Nemesor Demekor knew he couldn’t risk facing the humans, not when his own forces were a fraction of its previous strength.  He would regroup.  He would convert the Necrons on this world to his own causes.  But for now, he needed information.  And where better than to interrogate the human patrol that was appearing over the plains….
